Did you know that there are some Commission-wide initiatives in which you can take part if you wish to break the daily routine, share your knowledge and experience? You may become an ECMentor, [1] if you have at least 15 years of experience in the organisation, a genuine interest in others and wish to help new colleagues to develop. You may prefer to be an occasional trainer taking part in the “Train the Trainee [2]” initiative. This will allow you to meet Blue Book trainees who will work in the Commission for a few months. You will have the opportunity to choose a topic that you want to share based on your own experience in the Institution. You will boost your pedagogical and communication skills and contribute to a quick integration of the trainee into your department.
Finally, you can also take this opportunity to inform them on what Generation 2004 [3] does to support all colleagues.
As always, we would love to hear from you. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us [4] or leave a comment below.
If you appreciate our work, please consider becoming a member of Generation 2004 [5].
