Oops… We Did It Again! Generation 2004 Keeps the Lead in Luxembourg

Generation 2004 sincerely thanks all colleagues in Luxembourg who placed their trust in us during the 2025 Local Staff Committee electionsThanks to your support, we achieved an 8.4% increase in our share of the vote compared to the previous elections, reaching 28.57% of all valid ballots and  securing six elected pairs, who will represent Luxembourg staff interests in all matters affecting them at both the Local Staff Committee and the Central Staff Committee levels.

These results confirm our strong position in Luxembourg and reaffirm Generation 2004’s role as the most voted single staff organisation in the European Commission, based on results across all sites. Your confidence shows that an independent, transparent and fact-based approach to staff representation continues to matter.

Our campaign does not end with the elections, it continues every day. We remain fully engaged, listening to your concerns, defending your rights and fighting on your behalf to make sure that fairness, respect and transparency remain at the heart of our institution.

Your votes are a clear message: colleagues value commitment, fairness and open dialogue over politics. Generation 2004 will continue to represent all staff: officials, temporary and contractual agents, with professionalism and integrity.

We also congratulate all newly elected members and alternates from every list and look forward to constructive cooperation within the new Local Staff Committee.

  • Better IT tools and smoother digital workflows.
  • AI adoption guided by transparency and job security.
  • transparent communication platform that truly works.

  • Guaranteed office desks – no forced hot-desking.

Rights & Transparency

  • Longer maternity leave and fair parental leave.
  • Transparency in European School policies and crèche options.

Ethics & Staff Engagement

  • Zero tolerance for harassment and mobbing.
  • No to the “freedom to shut up” culture – let’s speak up.

These are just some of the priorities we continue to defend – among others and of course, more!

Because for Generation 2004, the real work never stops.

We are not afraid to ask difficult questions, to challenge the administration and to raise our voice when fairness or transparency is at stake. Standing up for colleagues is not always easy, but it is exactly what we were elected to do.

Thank you once again for your trust and participation. Your support keeps our collective voice strong, independent and engaged for the future.
